How, if at all, would  their experiences alter their perceptions of Syrian citizens, culture,  and politics? What would they learn and what could they teach to their  Syrian counterparts?<\/p>\n<p>Greg Cohen shares his excitement at  discussing his Jewish origin with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amln.org\/blog\/?p=276\">Grand  Mufti of Damascus<\/a> and of  his enjoying the company of his \u201cwarm, outgoing, and hospitable\u201d  Syrian hosts on his numerous excursions. Nick Jaeger reveals the difficulty  of personally addressing and debunking the political <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amln.org\/blog\/?p=298\">stereotypes<\/a> that precede him in Syria on account of US  foreign policy. Rima Abdelkader shares her findings on Syria\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amln.org\/blog\/?p=241\">public university system<\/a> after meeting Damascus University President  Dr. Wael Moualla.<\/p>\n<p>These thoughts  (or posts rather) are  currently being collected on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amln.org\/blog\/?page_id=134\">American  MidEast Leadership Network\u2019s Virtual Scrapbook<\/a>, a daily events blog and online collection  of photographs and audio-visual clips gathered by participants of <a href=\"http:\/\/amln.org\/amln_new\/gdpOverview.html\">AMLN\u2019s United States-Syria  Grassroots Diplomacy Program<\/a>.
