The First Legally Binding Decision Against Syria Fails At the U.N. (By Ehsani)
Wednesday, October 5th, 2011
After nearly three months of negotiations and concessions, the U.S. and its European allies were dealt a blow at the UNSC. Even after they agreed to a steady watering down of the language in the final text, both Russia and China still vetoed the UN resolution on Syria. This was a repeat of the same double veto by Russia and China back in 2008 against Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe.
This would have been the first legally binding resolution by the UNSC against Syria. The demand was that Syria immediately end violence, allow fundamental rights and freedoms, lift all media restrictions and allow unhindered access for human rights investigators. The resolution would have allowed the UNSC to review Syria’s implementation of the above demand within 30 days, and “to consider its options, including measures under Article 41 of the Charter of the UN.”
Rather than admitting that this was a slap on the face to the sponsors of this resolution, France said that the veto showed a “disdain for the legitimate interests that have been fought for in Syria by protestors since March”. Susan Rice of the U.S. called the veto an “outrage” that utterly failed the Syrian people. The British Ambassador also talked about the impact of this veto on the Syrian people saying that there “will be a great disappointment to the people of Syria and the wider region that some members of the council could not show their support for their struggle for basic human rights”.
Ambassador Rice accused Russia and China of wanting to sell arms to the Syrian regime rather than stand with the Syrian people. Russia’s Ambassador did not take too well to the accusations.
This White House thought that they found a winning formula in Libya. The U.S. would use force but only if it had the U.N. Security Council’s imprimatur, and only if it had clear commitments that the UNSC gave its blessing. Once the Arab League also comes on Board, the road for a military assault is largely baked in the cake.
Mr. Obama had long favored a more multilateral engagement strategy. The more unilateral attitude of the Bush administration was often criticized by the new team at the White House. Such a low-key multilateralist strategy makes it easier to convince other states to support the use of military force to protect civilians.
This strategy was best described by Edward Luck, the senior vice president at the International Peace Institute when he said the following of the U.S. engagement in Libya:
“Historian have to look backward at the fact that the United States not being in the vanguard may have been helpful in the sense that it didn’t look like a U.S. effort to dominate Libya and intervene in the Islamic world,” Luck said. “It made it easier for others to get on board.”
While the Obama White House thought that they had a winner in Libya, both Russia and China were adamant that Syria does not become another Libya. Russia’s opposition of the resolution was because it was “based on a philosophy of confrontation” that contained an ultimatum of sanctions which was against a peaceful settlement of the crisis. China’s Ambassador, on the other hand, said that his country wanted to see speedy reforms but opposed the resolution because “sanctions, or threat of sanctions, do not help the situation in Syria but rather complicates the situation”.
The sponsors of the resolution met the above with disappointment and outrage. Indeed, the U.S. Ambassador was so outraged that she decided to exit the hall once Mr. Jaafari of Syria warmed up and found his stride. Mrs. Rice’s exit coincided with the reminder that the U.S. used its veto 50 times in support of Israel. By this time, the U.S. Diplomat knew that it was time to cut her losses, leave the room and call it a day.

This is from API news Worldwide Service: Massacre of 15 young women in Jeddah
Eyewitness reporting from Jeddah Saudi Arabia of massacre committed by Saudi Royal Security forces, the special units in charge of protecting the regime. Reliable sources inside Arab News in London said they have witnessed the security forces in 3 vans drive into a peaceful demonstration protesting ban on women driving in the kingdom, killing at least 5 women and leaving mutilated bodies on the curve until Red Crescent arrived 3 hours later. In another part of Jeddah, 15 nude and tortured bodies of female age 15-21 were found on the main Cornish road linking Jeddah with industrial city of Yanbou. Witness said security forces were seen earlier in the area. Parents are at loss who could have committed this massacre, but they suspect Saudi Security forces in the murder, a scare tactics used regularly in the kingdom against women seeking change in driving law that ban women behind the wheel in the Arabian Kingdom.

This appears to be the second time regional circumstances have enabled Syria to duck the crosshairs of Western directed regime change through military means.
The first time was the result of the Iraq war insurgency, which forestalled the next likely war on the list: a U.S. directed war against Syria.
Now this second time is the result of the Libyan experience, where NATO took advantage of a UNSC resolution to impose regime change through direct military intervention. BRIC isn’t going to allow this to happen again; at least this is how it looks at this moment in time.

I’m getting tired of all of those who keep saying “clearly there is someone dead and mutilated in that video”.. “what happened to that other body”… etc
Guys.. there is no other body. let me put this in simple words.. it’s a plastic figure for clothing display. Go check out the video again. It’s pretty clear it was never an actual body. You can clearly see the shiny glossy body which is supposed to be decomposed and blue if it was dead.. also the plastic appearance of the arm pit where you see the mechanical and plastic appearance of the dummy most clearly.. and also the lack of developed female breasts. It’s hard to miss it if you watch the video again. I understand not noticing this the first time because people typically don’t expect this much fabrication, but it’s pretty clear if you watch it again with objective eyes.
This whole thing was a lie just like a lot of their stories… credibility sinking below zero..

Syria…Has the page turned?
By Tariq Alhomayed
Wednesday, 05 October 2011
Lebanon’s “An-Nahar” newspaper reported that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had told former [Lebanese] Prime Minister Omar Karami that “the story is over; we are pleased to have turned a page on these events. It is under control, we are no longer worried”. So has the situation in Syria truly settled down for the al-Assad regime?
I doubt it. Within 48 hours of this assertion, events occurred that proved this was not true when the formation of the Syrian National Council [SNC] was announced in Istanbul, with France being one of the first to welcome it. Following this announcement, various cities in Syria were engulfed in demonstrations in support of the SNC. News also spread that the al-Assad regime had targeted members of Burhan Ghalioun’s family, a prominent member of the Syrian opposition. Syrian reports also indicated that a statue of President Hafez al-Assad, the father of Bashar, had been destroyed, this time not in a Syrian village, but in the capital, the first statue in the capital to be destroyed!

Syrian NC is not a problem. It will self-disintegrate. A council that was formed by appointments from different countries will quickly be exposed. Internal strife will consume it within a matter of weeks. However a council that could be formed by actual election and based on qualities of members and their history as opposition figure would be something else. The Syrian government would be best served by ignoring this council or highlighting their weaknesses lightly and professionally. It’s already a big blow what Dr. Manna’ has already said about it.
Stories of Kidnapping Dr. Ghaliioun’s family member are completely baseless.

Saudi Arabia Vows ‘Iron Fist’ After Attack in Oil Province
Wednesday, October 5, 2011
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2011/10/04/bloomberg_articlesLSKWKU6JTSEB.DTL
Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) — Saudi Arabia vowed to use “an iron fist” after 11 members of the security forces were injured by attackers during unrest in a Shiite Muslim town in the east, the official Saudi Press Agency said.
The government accused an unidentified “foreign country” of seeking to undermine the stability of the kingdom as a result of the violence in Awwamiya, in which the assailants, some on motorcycles, used machine guns and Molotov cocktails, the Riyadh-based news service reported late yesterday. A man and two women were also injured, it said.
Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil supplier, escaped the mass protests that toppled the leaders of Egypt and Tunisia this year and spread to Saudi neighbors Yemen and Bahrain. There were rallies earlier in the year in mostly Shiite eastern Saudi Arabia, including Awwamiya and al-Qatif village.
Predominantly Sunni Saudi Arabia has accused Shiite-led Iran of interfering in the affairs of Arab countries in the Persian Gulf, home to three-fifths of the world’s oil reserves. Iran denies the charge and accuses Sunni rulers in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia of discriminating against Shiites. Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries sent troops to Bahrain in March to quell the mainly Shiite unrest.
‘Greater Trouble Ahead’
“Given that this happened in the predominantly Shiite area of Saudi Arabia, in its east, this could be a sign of greater trouble ahead,” Paul Sullivan, a political scientist specializing in Middle East security at Georgetown University in Washington, said yesterday in response to e-mailed questions. “It could easily ratchet up Saudi-Iran tensions.”
King Abdullah announced $130 billion in spending in February and March in response to the spread of unrest in the Middle East. The kingdom’s senior religious scholars responded by issuing a statement calling protests un-Islamic, ahead of a so-called Day of Rage planned for March 11 in Saudi Arabia. Protesters stayed off the streets amid a high security presence.
“Using motorcycles is a new tactic in Saudi Arabia,” said Theodore Karasik, director of research at the Dubai-based Institute for Near East and Gulf Military Analysis. “It is a new way to get around security forces. Oil prices will likely rise because of the nature of the attack and if the violence continues.”
Oil gained for the first day in four in New York after a surprise drop in U.S. crude stockpiles led investors to reduce bets that prices will decline. Crude for November delivery rose 2.8 percent to $77.75 a barrel at 6:45 a.m. in London.
‘Discrimination Condoned’
Saudi Arabia produced 9.8 million barrels of oil a day in September, while Iran pumped 3.6 million barrels a day, according to Bloomberg data.
Saudi Arabia’s Shiite minority is concentrated in its eastern oil-producing hub. The U.S. State Department said in a human-rights report on Saudi Arabia published in 2009 that Shiites face “significant political, economic, legal, social and religious discrimination condoned by the government.”
The rioters must decide whether “their loyalty is with their homeland or to that state and its authorities,” the Interior Ministry said in a statement, according to the Saudi Press Agency. The attack took place at 9 p.m. local time on Oct. 3, the news service said.
The government called on “rational members of their families, those of whose loyalties we have no doubts, to bear their responsibilities towards their sons,” the interior ministry said. “Otherwise, all will bear the consequences of their actions.”
Saudi-Iran Tension
Bahrain’s Saudi-backed rulers detained hundreds of people, most of them sharing Iran’s Shiite faith, following a crackdown on protesters who held rallies in February and March to demand a more representative government. At least 35 people were killed during the clashes. Shiites represent about 70 percent of Bahrain’s population, according to the U.S. State Department, while its hereditary rulers are Sunni.
“What we may be beginning to see is the response to the crackdown in Bahrain,” Karasik said in a phone interview. “There may be more radical, new groups, who are attacking Saudi security forces in terms of the Sunni-Shiite divide.”
Saudi Arabia, which holds 20 percent of the world’s oil reserves, enforces restrictions interpreted from the Wahhabi version of Sunni Islam. In addition to the restrictions on women, the government limits the practices of other branches of Islam.

Saudi government blames ‘foreign country’ for unrest
October 5, 2011
http://en.ria.ru/world/20111005/167400985.html
The Saudi authorities have accused a “foreign country” of trying to undermine stability in the kingdom after 14 people were reported injured in clashes between police and protesters in the country’s predominantly Shia Muslim-populated east.
Saudi Arabia has confirmed that 11 security personnel and three civilians were injured in fighting in the eastern city of al-Qatif early on Monday. Other reports say 24 men and three women were wounded as police opened fire at protesters, The Independent newspaper said.
Analysts have interpreted the “foreign country” as a veiled reference to Saudi Arabia’s regional rival, Shia-ruled Iran.
The unrest reportedly began on Sunday in the Shia town of al-Awamiyah, when Saudi police arrested a 60-year-old man to force his son – an activist – to give himself up, the report said. The authorities said the violence broke out when police clashed with assailants who used automatic weapons and Molotov cocktails, Bloomberg said, quoting a Riyadh-based news service.
Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil supplier, has avoided the large-scale popular protests that toppled the leaders of Egypt and Tunisia earlier this year and continue in Syria, but small protests were seen in the country’s Shia-populated Eastern Province, including Awwamiya and al-Qatif.
Saudi Arabia’s Shia minority, who make up 10 percent of the kingdom’s 23-million population, have long complained of discrimination against them by the fundamentalist Sunni Saudi authorities.

In 2005 the currency exchange rate of the SYP versus the US$ was 53:1; it was 52:1 in 2006; banquecentrale.gov.sy. In 2011 it’s been around 47:1. If the Central Bank devalued the SYP back to 53:1, it would help Syria’s import/export balance of payments situation. To devalue it beyond 54:1 would be I believe undesirable and uncalled for. If I were with the Central Bank, and I was thinking about doing this, I’d talk publicly about it before doing it, and I’d listen carefully to what lots other pro-Establishment Syrians have to say about it. The mere talk of a devaluation would put downward pressure on the currency. But that’s okay. It is better to talk and get feedback and don’t act rashly and don’t act alone (as the folks who made the decision of 12 days ago have learned, I hope). The Bank has the power to enforce the decision that’s eventually made.
@ AREAL: Can you give me a link to a government source about what the “new plan” is.
October 4th, 2011, 6:51 pm
REALITY
You can deduce the plan from
http://www.sana.sy/eng/21/2011/10/04/373356.htm
Nothing new : save the foreign currency
The non convertible Syrian Pound is now no longer pegged only to US dollars but to a basket of convertible currencies including US$ , Euro,Yen,
Currently the much hyped dollar is improving against most of the currencies , therefore the SP is improving as well.
To devaluate SP will not help the exporters who will get less SP for their US dollars .
No serious government will talk about devaluation ( or reevaluation ) of its currency before it takes action ,
to prevent speculation. ( remember Mr Soros )
I will not explain more , as it could give bad ideas to the MB crowd.

– While waiting for rformalities, the offcials requested that she also receives the remains of whom they claimed to be her daughter Zeinab AlHusni. The body was defaced and mutilated beyond recognition. The calimed identification was undertaken by the Hospital offcials.
– The local operating procedure requires the Attorney General to request an autopsy since the cause of death was not natural. Autopsy iwould be followed by issuance of death certificate explaining the cause of death, and permission for burial
– We demand the release of Zeinab AlHusni to her family or to the safety of the international Red Cross.
– The Syrian TV is a security interrogation center; Zeinab’s account on TV can only be thought of in that context!

http://rt.com/news/missile-defense-system-nato-555/
NATO plans for a phased deployment of a European anti-missile defense system are moving forward, with Turkey and Romania having signed deals to host crucial elements of the system.
The US and Turkey signed a memorandum on Wednesday on the deployment of an American radar station in the east of the country as part of the NATO-backed missile defense system (AMD).
The AN/TPY-2 THAAD radar will be deployed in the southeastern Turkish province of Malatya by the end of the year. It will later become part of the anti-ballistic missile system which the US and NATO are building to protect Europe, pposedly from missile attacks by rogue states.
The news comes just a day after Romania agreed to a deal with Washington under which land-based SM3 interceptor missiles and over 100 military personnel will be based on Romanian soil. The deal also includes the deployment of American Navy cruisers with naval versions of the interceptors along the Romanian coast.
The project has caused concern in Russia, which believes the system may be targeted against its nuclear deterrence capabilities. Washington refused to build a joint Russian-NATO anti-missile system to protect Russia, as suggested by Moscow.
Apart from the potential to tip the strategic military balance, the AMD system may prove costly once you count in the maintenance, argued Ludo de Brabander, spokesman for the Belgium peace movement Verde.
“The US and NATO are arguing that this is small cost for big advantage,” he told RT. “It is estimated that this project will last 10 years and cost 200 million euros shared by all 28 NATO countries. So it seems little investment for each country. But maintaining this kind of system could cost much more. So it will not be easy to sell this project to the public.”
‘US is reintroducing the Cold War’
Bruce Gagnon from Global Network against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space says the plan has nothing to do with threats from Iran or North Korea.
“It is all about surrounding Russia and China today, and these systems are part of a larger US first-strike attack systems underway,” he told RT. “The United States is reintroducing the Cold War, both with Russia and China. The obvious response that we see from Russia and China – they’ve asked for negotiations, they’ve gone to the United Nations for many years seeking a ban on all weapons in space – the United States, through Democrat and Republican administrations, has ignored that offer to negotiate. So sadly, what we are seeing now is Russia and China having to take counter measures to deal with these growing US missile defense deployments surrounding their borders.”
Mark Avrum Gubrud, an assistant professor at the University of North Carolina, believes Washington is pursuing goals other than ensuring security.
“The real purpose of this move is political,” he told RT. “The AMD is being used as a tool of diplomacy and as a tool of domestic politics. I don’t think the high officials in the Obama administration believe the system really has great effectiveness as a defense against a potential threat that does not even exist.”

http://rt.com/news/syria-resolution-geopolitcal-game-115/
Syria hotbed of major geopolitical game
Syria has become caught in the center of a giant geopolitical game that involves the Western powers, Israel, Iran, Lebanon and other global powers. Pushing for the ouster of Bashar Assad, the US is trying to remodel the entire region, observers say.
The West could have used the resolution on Syria as a legal cover for it actions in the Middle East, John Laughland from the Paris-based Institute for Democracy and Co-operation told RT.
“The interest of Syria for the Western powers is great proximity to Israel,” the author and journalist claims, underlining the importance of the geopolitical factor in this case rather than energy interests.
“It [Syria] has been a party in the war against Israel, it’s one of the big opponents of Israeli state,” he explains. “There is an arch Lebanon-Syria-Iran of geopolitical opposition to Israel and to America’s role in the Middle East.”
The regimes that the US and other Western powers are hoping will come to power as a result of the Arab Spring are obviously friendly ones. They want the Middle East to be remodeled along the lines which make the region safe for Israel, Laughland claims.
According to the journalist, Moscow vetoed the resolution on Syria because it “has been very annoyed with NATO, with Britain, France and America for the way they exploited the Libyan resolution on Libya, the one which Russia abstained on and therefore allowed to pass.”
“Russia suffered a defeat over Libya because [it] opposed the policy of regime change but ultimately had to recognize the new regime in Libya,” he argues, explaining that now Moscow feels that “Russia was taken for a ride over Libya and won’t be taken for a ride over Syria.”
On Wednesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that two Syrian opposition delegations will come for talks to Moscow in October.
“The veto cast by Russia and China on the UN resolution on Syria reflects the gravity of the situation,” Dr. Chandra Muzaffar, the President of the International Movement for a Just World., told RT. “Both Russia and China know that a resolution by the Security Council opens door for military intervention by NATO,” he says.
“It would be another attempt to oust an Arab government and replace it with a government which is sympathetic to the larger geopolitical aims of Washington, London, Paris, and other Western countries.”
“Washington is pressing Syrian regime because Bashar Assad’s ouster would allow it change the geopolitics of the entire region,” states Dr. Muzaffar.
“First of all, the US views Bashar Assad as a “leader of a resistance state, resisting Israeli agenda in the region,” he explains.
Secondly, Washington wants Assad’s ouster because of his very close ties with Hezbollah, labeled as a terrorist organization by the US.
Thirdly, as the Syrian government has very close ties with Tehran, the removal of Assad would impact Iran, leaving it without a key ally.
Meanwhile, the Russian fact-finding team sent to Syria has discovered that Bashar Assad has been trying to implement some of the reforms,” Dr. Muzaffar notes. “But in the situation where there is an armed insurrection against the state it’s difficult to carry out only reforms.”
Dr. Muzaffar underlines that the protest against Bashar Assad comes from two or three cities and not from the two principle cities, Damascus and Aleppo. The majority of population in fact supports Bashar Assad, he concludes.

Damascus is not the capital of tv series for nothing. The regime set up the perfect trap to score a PR victory for itself and embarrass Amnesty Int’l and the revolutionaries. It was all planned from the start. Kidnap the girl to get to her brother, when the brother is caught torture him to death, then call the family to come pick up the body…”and oh while you’re here we’ve got your daughter’s cadaver in a bag here, mind that you don’t drop a leg or an arm”…
The kidnapped girl is kept until the media have had their outrage about the dismembered Zeinab, who in fact is meanwhile being “coached” for her tv appearance at an opportune moment.
The perfect set-up, a veritable sting
When Tara pointed out that SOMEONE’S dismembered body was handed to the family, we get a brilliant script writer/forensic detective/coroner for the Assadist Mafiosi And Associates volunteering the learned opinion that it was not even a real body but a mannequin!

All the Western countries on the UNSC, the countries that are critical for the economic development of Syria voted for the resolution. I just can’t see how this is a victory for Syria. It is a victory for nobody but it does highlight Assad’s isolation.
As to whether you think it is a victory for the Syrian people, that depends on your view of what is good for the Syrian people. I think it makes Assad less prone to negotiate a democratic transfer of power so I think it is quite bad for the Syrian people.

Ukrainian Delegation Stresses Solidarity with Syria…Reality Contradicts False News Broadcast by Media
Oct 04, 2011
http://www.sana.sy/eng/337/2011/10/04/373548.htm
DARAA, (SANA) – The Ukrainian parliament and media delegation visiting Syria on Tuesday toured Daraa City and saw the situation of services and educational process in the city.
The delegation inspected the burned and sabotaged facilities. Touring the Justice Palace in Daraa, the Attorney General Tayssir Samadi said more than 100 thousand documents and legislative records were burnt on March 20th.
He added that sabotage acts included the Anti-Drug Department and burning records and documents on hunting drug traffickers and criminals.
For his part, Daraa Governor said that normal life returned to the governorate, stressing that Syria faces a misleading media campaign led by some satellite channels to undermine its pan-Arab and national stances.
The delegation members expressed solidarity with Syria against the conspiracy, stressing that they will convoy the reality of what is taking place in Syria which completely contradicts the misleading and falsified news broadcast by western media to spread fear and prevent people from visiting Syria.
Heading the delegation, People’s Deputy of Communist Party of Ukraine Alla Alexandrovska told SANA said that life in Daraa is normal and the educational process, services and health are also good in the city.
Alexandrovska regretted that some media are being used as tools to complement wars, stressing that there are still journalists and channels conveying the real image and we hope this image will reach the whole world.
For his part, journalist Igor Slisarenko from the Ukrainian “Den” newspaper said that he found life in Daraa City normal, indicating to the Ukrainian people’s deep amity and respect for the Syrians.
On the sidelines of the visit, Deputy Chairman of the Syrian-Ukrainian Friendship Association Vladimir Petrenko said that burning and sabotaging of facilities indicates terrorist acts committed by terrorists and reveals the false claims for freedom and democracy, expressing confidence in Syria’s ability to overcome the crisis.
The Ukrainian delegation also visited the injured army members at Tishreen Military Hospital in Damascus.
Journalist Slisarenko said “We came here today to inspect the reality of what is currently taking place in Syria on the ground…and to express support to the Syrian soldiers who bravely defend Syria, its people and its stances.”
Later, meeting the Ukrainian delegation, Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Abdel-Fattah Ammoura briefed the delegation members on the foreign conspiracy facing Syria which is aimed to undermine Syria’s pan-Arab and national stances and its independent decision and comes under the framework of the US and the Western countries’ project of “the Great Middle East”.
Ammoura presented a review of the reform steps being taken in Syria in the context of comprehensive reform program launched by President Bashar al-Assad, stressing that these steps serve all spectrums of the Syrian society.
For her part, Alexandrovska expressed appreciation for being given the opportunity to inspect the reality of what is happening in Syria on the ground and see the events first hand.
“I will do my best to convey the truth of the events to the Ukrainian people in terms of the armed terrorist acts being perpetrated against the Syrian people,” she added.

I disagree with you.
Bashar al Assad is now squeezed more than ever to fulfill his promises. There is no escape as the Russian won’t accept a slap on their face if Bashar fails to implement the reforms. They’ll dump him.
The strategy of the Russians is to bring the independant opposition groups on the ground (not the French-MB-Turkish one) to act more decisively and find a middle way to save the country from civil war and chaos.
Bashar’s excuses has been the lack of social peace to implement the reforms, while the opposition’s reluctance is because of the use of force to get that social peace.
As the opposition on the ground lacks any charismatic and courageous leadership, the whole thing has been dragging its feet and has allowed foreign supported expats to carry the flag of the opposition while sitting on their computers or touring Turkey and the “lobbies”
The Russian hope to boost the local opposition to share the burden of imposing a social peace as well as pushing Bashar to implement the reforms in conjunction with the opposition.
It is a challenge that will be opposed and fought by the hawk western countries who prefer the full destruction of the country and a rebuild under their ‘knowledgable supervision’ to regain the upper hand on the ‘arab spring’ and better control its foreign policy, especially on Iran, Iraq and Israel.
The Russians have invested and risked a lot in that veto. They must deliver, their honor is at stake.

Reading about the US embassy in Damascus, I always have a smile when I think of this odd building right across the street from the Iraqi embassy. It is not a large street and since it opened around 2003 I’ve always suspected they must have a common basement floor. But that was not enough to satisfy the hawks.

Just as Mugabe was not squeezed to fulfill his promises, neither is Assad. The resolution is irrelevant any way. Europe and the US are going to sanction Assad which de facto means severe sanctions on Syria even without a binding UN resolution. Since the Assad regime really does not care about Syria, only about their survival, there is no good way to pressure them.

This is now for sure looking like a serious attempt at hijacking of Syria’s spring by foreign intelligence agencies and colonial interests using cheap puppets. It also shows that Israel who is the primary beneficiary of Syria roll back plan, covered with cloaks’ of lies, deceits and bloody violence, may be actually orchestrating this silly affair or using it for sinister murderous plan against Syrians.
The bottom line, you tried sanctions, you tried U.N., you tried terrorism, you tried genocide, and you tried antiquated silly media dog tricks that showed the lack of intelligence among the plotters, and all will fail miserably, what else left? Direct attack is not an option, Syria, Hezbollah and Iran will make it very costly, oil resources in the Middle East will be decimated and per barrel could reach $250-300, Europe is teetering on the verge of economic and social collapse and the U.S. is already drowned in debt and unemployment, the last nail to the coffin can wait, it is not worth the dry bone like Syria. Increase terrorism inside Syria is counterproductive for the plotters; they have neither control of the operation theater nor the audience. More violence means increasing prisoner numbers and their suffering, more negatives and bad exposure among Syrians and outright rejection of the so called revolution. So either the cash pipeline needs to be clogged from the foreign sources or a change of strategy is required. The problem here is that all those sponsored opposition have zero backing in Syria and are now totally discredited as colonial thugs.
YOU ARE OUT OF THE GAME, LIVE WITH IT, YOU GOT PAID FROM YOUR COLONIAL MASTERS, TAKE YOUR LAST CHECK AND GO PLAY BALL. Leave the legitimate Nationalist opposition to free Syria from Baathist economic, social and political clutches. Stop the hijacking.

My friend, there is a political game being played. I think the West are trying to provoke the Syrian government to dismiss ambassadors. If the Syrian government does this, then the West can have an excuse to be more belligerent because the Syrian “regime closed channels of bilateral communication, forcing us to be more unilateral.” Of course, they’re already unilateral, but politics is politics, and Western citizens are like sheep following whatever their media tell them. They would kick out all Syrian ambassadors and then those channels of communication could be shut for years.
But for that to happen, Syria has to be the one to kick the Western ambassadors out first. The Western countries can’t withdraw their ambassadors first because then it will be clearly them who ceased bilateral communication. Why doesn’t the US, France, and UK kick out the Syrian ambassadors who are being accused of “spying” on “activists” in those countries?
Besides, I think the fact that Syria did not even bother to kick out Western ambassadors made Western countries even more frustrated. During such events with Western ambassadors meddling in internal affairs of a country, it makes the West feel even weaker when that country doesn’t even both kick them out. It’s a sign of a leadership that is still rational and in control. Then when some Arabs withdrew their ambassadors, they looked like complete idiots, just like Sheikh A7mad Badr ed-Din 7assoun said.

2011 Remember the ‘mutilated & skinned’ Zaynab al Husni?
A few days ago; Human Rights Watch:
“…The killing and mutilation of Zaynab al-Hosni, 18, by unknown persons highlights the urgent need for the UN Security Council to demand access to Syria for an international investigation into rampant killings and torture in Syria, Human Rights Watch said today. Zaynab, whose brothers are active in anti-government protests, had vanished in late July after going out to buy medication for her mother. Syrian authorities returned al-Hosni’s dismembered body to her family on September 17, 2011, without providing any information on the circumstances surrounding her killing, and forced her mother to sign a paper stating that “armed gangs” had killed her….”
Well, apparently, Zaynab is alive and running away from home because of the abuse of her ‘activist brothers’:
“… Zaynab Al-Husni has become famous: she has been described as the victim of the Syrian regime who was decapitated and then skinned. Amnesty International published a report detailing her case and most Western media reported the story. Now, Zaynab Al-Husni has suddenly appeared on Syrian TV and said that she has fled her family’s home because her brothers were beating her and torturing her… Western media should now take pause and realize that the Syrian opposition media have been making unsubstantiated claims and fabricating news and that Western media have been automatically reproducing such claims…”

As for belittling the West, you are gravely mistaken. That is still where most of the world’s technology comes from and it is the most important trading partner for Syria. Nobody else can refine Syrian oil for example. Most non-Arab tourists to Syria came from Europe, etc.

About Ghalyoun, after reading his comments today, I’m now 100% against him. I thought he had some potential but he’s still living in the fairy tale world of “peaceful revolution” and alliances with the vile terrorist Syrian MB. Also if we reflect upon the events of the past 6-7 months, things always got worse when the West would keep yapping. Passing that resolution would have encouraged a lot more violence in Syria. Can you imagine being part of an armed insurrection where you capture, torture, chop up, and assassinate civilians and soldiers, and then have the UNSC pass a resolution supporting you? After his comments today, there is no doubt: Ghalyoun li mazbalet et-tarikh.

The USA have blessed attack to Syria
The USA have openly supported an attack to Syria. The day before official representative Gov.Dep. Mark the Toner has blessed terrorist attacks against the Syrian military men, naming them “quite normal practice”. Reaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Syria has followed immediately: similar statements testify to support by the American management of “the armed terrorists”, attacking army divisions.
Under the statement of the Syrian ministry, such support “accurately shows that the USA are involved in an event and push the armed groups to violence concerning the Syrian military men”.
Official Damascus sees in Mark Tonera’s statement “an irresponsible appeal to carrying out of acts of terrorism and an establishment of anarchy which serves foreign interests and is opposite to the Syrian people”.
The sharp aggravation of the American-Syrian relations has coincided on time with one more incident in which the ambassador of the USA in Syria appears. We will remind that on September, 29th according to the western mass-media as if aggressively adjusted crowd from supporters of Bashara Asada “has attacked head of the American diplomatic mission in Syria”.

First two news items
There is a you tube of an interview on Syrian TV of psychiatrist woman in a program discussing the dual role of mothers/professionals in society. The program is filmed with a window behind the interviewee that shows the Omayyad circle and if one pays attention there are multiple buses and vans trucks filled with the “shabiha” passing by. The content of the interview is not the story but the fact that the regime enforcers are being bused to various locales around Damascus to quell the revolt. It is another sign of the incompetence of the Syrian TV.
There is also the news that the people of Damascus woke up to find several fountains in the city with the water colored in red flowing through them to show the spilling of blood in the country and that the municipality workers have been called to clean up the mess.
ANN no one on this blog gives a hoot about your posts about KSA or about the Ukrainian delegation or the Kazakh parliament or whatever you like to post like a parrot of the regime propaganda.
Please if you have anything important to say do so otherwise spare our time.
It is clear that China and Russia are not keen on having the SC give any cover and therefore mandatory compliance with any sanctions coming through it to further isolate Damascus. I do not believe that they think that the regime is winning but they are fearful of a precedent being taken. China is thinking of North Korea and Russia is using this card to bargain for other issues inlcuding its sphere of influence and the missile shiled. I expect that there is going to be a drop in the price of oil if Russia continues to be obstructive.
This has one of several possible outcomes and these are dispassionate observations and not wishful thinking:
1. The regional powers must now decide to either contine to watch the deadlock unfold without intervention
2. The regional powers will intervene without a SC resolution to tigthen the noose on the regime with economic sanctions ( likely in my opinon )
3. There may be added military help to the defectors with bases established in Turkey and less likely in Lebanon ( likely as well )
The regime has now several options:
1. Having rejected the lifeline sent its way by the Arab league it can swallow its pride and proceed to re negotiate to accept it.
2. More likely it will feel emboldened and shielded and may proceed with an escalation of armed solution
In the later case, it will actually proceed further along the dead end of no return in my opinion. As I noted before, if there are genuine reforms then the regime is dismantling itself. If as we have seen we have cosmetic reforms then it is postponing the inevitable collapse of the regime. If its claim that there are genuine livelihood issues that need addressing it is not able to do so with the sanctions in place. If its claims that there is armed gangs it is showing incredible ineptitude in crushing them, defeating them, proving their alliance with foreign powers, and destroying the so called conspiracy against the country. After all the regime has armed forces ready to battle Israel and defend the country against invasion. If it has taken it 7 months to crush armed gangs and kill 800 or so of them then it is really in need of major improvements.
There is now more than ever a very wide gap between the sects on one level. On another there is a very wide gap between those in cohoots with the regime and those left out of the graft system. The increase in poverty will lead to criminality and to further economic instability.
My estimation is that the regime is blind to its outcome. It thinks that it can re hash the 80’s stories and dodge the sanctions and survive as it did after 2005. I do think that the mental state is very akin to that of the Ghadafi clan: either I rule over you or I kill you.
As for its role in the resistance it is joke of course. Hamas has shifted to an alliance with others. Egypt will regain its weight. KSA has adapted to the new reality and will ally with Egypt to re draw the political map. Turkey will work with the regional powers to enhance its standing and Iran is actually playing catch up: the Supreme Leader there is declaring that he is more Palestinian than the Palestinians themselves and will not recognize a state within the 67 borders even if Israel and the US do!!!! What next a meeting with Bibi to thwart the birth of the (rump) state of Palestine?
The people in my opinion are fed up with ineptitude and mafia rule.

President Assad’s comments according to press reports…..
Syria will strike Israel and “set fire” to the Middle East if foreign forces choose to launch a military strike on the protest-ridden country, the Iranian news agency Fars quoted Syrian President Bashar Assad as saying on Tuesday, referring to remarks made by the Syrian leader during a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu last August.
During a meeting with the Turkish FM, the Fars report claimed, Assad indicated that Syria would not hesitate to strike major Israeli cities if it was attacked.
“If a crazy measure is taken against Damascus, I will need not more than 6 hours to transfer hundreds of rockets and missiles to the Golan Heights to fire them at Tel Aviv,” Assad said.
In addition, Fars reported that the Syrian president told the Turkish FM that he would also call on Hezbollah in Lebanon to launch a rocket attack on Israel, adding: “All these events will happen in three hours, but in the second three hours, Iran will attack the U.S. warships in the Persian Gulf and the U.S. and European interests will be targeted simultaneously.”
Assad’s comments to the Turkish FM came after Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said earlier Tuesday he would set out his country’s plans for sanctions against Syria after he visits a Syrian refugee camp near the border in the coming days.
The move heralds a further deterioration in previously friendly relations between Ankara and Damascus since the start of Assad’s crackdown on protesters.
“Regarding sanctions, we will make an assessment and announce our road map after the visit to Hatay in southern Turkey, setting out the steps,” Erdogan told reporters, adding he expected to visit the region at the weekend or the start of next week.

If only you could prove us that Europe and the US are not ruled by mafias. Indeed they have more money, thanks to centuries of razzias, and it is more redistributed, thanks to a history of revolutions and creating a welfare state. But the “hedge funds” and the markets, who are now actually ruling th world, are not exactly happy with that and are dismantling it wherever they can.
When you say that “KSA will ally with Egypt” this is really cynical. Egypt would like to have its own destiny, but KSA will never let that happen.

Syria unrest: ‘First woman dies in detention’
Demonstration with placard referring to the death of Zainab al-Hosni
An 18-year-old whose brother opposed Syria’s regime is believed to be the first woman to die in custody in Syria, Amnesty International says.
Relatives found the mutilated body of Zainab al-Hosni by chance at a morgue in the city of Homs, the group says.
They had been called to the military hospital to pick up her brother’s body three days after his arrest.
A total of 103 people are reported to have been killed in Syrian custody since the uprising began in March.
‘Disturbing’
According to the London-based human rights group, the 18-year-old’s body had been decapitated, the arms cut off and the skin removed.
“If it is confirmed that Zainab was in custody when she died, this would be one of the most disturbing cases of a death in detention we have seen so far,” said Philip Luther, Amnesty’s deputy director for the Middle East and North Africa.
Ms Hosni was abducted by men suspected of belonging to the security forces in July, apparently to put pressure on her activist brother Mohammad Deeb al-Hosni to turn himself in, according to Amnesty.
The case emerged as the office of the UN human rights chief warned that the Syrian government’s crackdown also appeared to be targeting activists outside the country.

Blocking of Security Council resolution on Syria a ‘shocking betrayal’
5 October 2011
Permanent members of the Security Council that used their veto yesterday to block a binding resolution on Syria have utterly failed in their responsibilities to protect the Syrian people, Amnesty International said today.
“It is shocking that after more than six months of horrific bloodshed on the streets and in the detention centres of Syria, the governments of both Russia and China still felt able to veto what was already a seriously watered down resolution,” said Malcolm Smart, Amnesty International’s Middle East and North Africa Director.
“Those countries which ducked this decision by abstaining must also bear a heavy responsibility for allowing the brutal crackdown on legitimate dissent in Syria to continue unchecked.”
“Attempt to justify this position by referring to the military intervention in Libya are utterly irresponsible. The Syrian people should not have to suffer because of political disagreements about the situation in a different country. Yesterday’s veto was nothing short of a betrayal of the Syrian people.”
Nine members of the Security Council voted in favour of the draft resolution, which condemned Syria’s crackdown on protesters and left open the possibility of sanctions.
Permanent members Russia and China used their vetoes to prevent the resolution from being passed, while South Africa, India, Brazil and Lebanon abstained.

So,Haytham, do you seriously believe that armed militias will hide in Turkey and only strike what you called Maher Alasad units and go back in hiding?
the armed militias are busy kidnapping people, killing anybody who says no,and committing random acts of theft and terrorism as if Syrians did not have enough of the regime shabeehas and the security forces, and now they have to worry about anti regime armed thugs.
I hope that you are not related to the late Fares Al-khouri since I would really like his family name to stay clean.
the most depressing aspect of the syrian tragedy is that average citizens have nowhere to hide, they are surrounded with hostile countries and sanctioned by the west while they suffer from the brutality of their own government and the lawlessness of the armed rebels.

Sayyidina Muhammad (s) is a Ruby and We Are Stones
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani
30 September 2011
…….
Now Arabs are asking to follow shaytanic ways, saying, “We must make a parliament.” May Allah make your parliament fall on your heads and all of you die! They are still not giving real respect to their prophet’s orders, which are from Heaven and written in the Holy Qur’an. Allah Almighty is saying, “O My most beloved one! don’t worry. I will teach them a lesson and give them good training. The angels of fire are going to make them good rubies!” But they will be in need for thousands and millions of years to be on that fire, to be real rubies. That is granted to them through their lives on Earth, but they refuse it.
I am sorry Arabs are saying (with false pride), “We are Arabs!” Nationalism is a curse from the Heavens, as addressed in the message of the Seal of Prophets (s). They are asking, “Which constitution should we follow? We don’t know.” Libyans, Palestinians, Syrians, and Turks are all asking to follow a constitution. The Russians, Germans, French, and Italians may do that, but we Muslims have been granted heavenly laws, Shari`ah. It is the biggest shame for Turks, Kurdish, and Arabs to leave the Holy Shari`ah, to say, “We are going to find this (new way) to bring to people.” Fear Allah! Allah Almighty already sent Holy Qur’an! Those were His orders, but you don’t like it, He (swt) is saying, “I am going to train them, to teach them a lesson!”
Therefore, now a heavenly whip is coming first on Arabs. Egypt is claiming, “We are the center of Islam, with the highest position of Islam in our country.” How are you saying this and you are looking to make a new constitution, asking to write this and that (implement new laws to govern the people). Let them take it and (…)! (Laughter) I am a very weak servant, but Allah (swt) gave us an unseen Creation, viruses, that He may send on them instead of the ababeel He sent on the tyrant Abraha of Yemen (Holy Qur’an 105:1-5).
…….
O Arabs! You are saying, “We are Arabs,” but you must instead say, “We are Muslims!” Palestinians, Iraqis, Shami, Palestinians, Turkis Saudi, Libians, leave your nationalist titles and say, “We are Muslims!” and Allah Almighty will send His heavenly blessings on you. Say, “We are your servants, O Allah! We are servants of the Lord.” Until you return to Shari`ah, perhaps 10 million Arabs must pass away, 20 million Turks, 30 million Asians, and 50 million from Pakistan! We are asking forgiveness.
O People! Daily you should say, “Astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah.” Divine punishment will come first on men and secondly on women, because men allow their women to show their beauty and ornaments in public, dressing daily in new fashions. Are you (women) asking to be mannequins for these new fashions, or to show your bodies? For what? Shaytan is making new fashions for you, saying, “Now winter is coming and you need new clothes.” What about the old ones? They throw them away. Now the Greeks are bankrupt and after a while, Europe will also be bankrupt. For what? (They spend too much) and their citizens are so poor!
……….
“Don’t kill your people.” Saleh (President of Yemen), Bashar (President of Syria), the Turks, and in so many countries they are killing, but for what? Allah (swt) said, “Don’t kill,” but they are disobedient!
O People! Heavenly revenge is coming and Allah Almighty will make everything clear. It is not good to protest in the streets, “Irhaal, irhaal, irhaal, go out (Mubarak)!” It is better to go to your village homes and leave the cities empty so they will ask, “Where are all the people? No one is here!” Don’t make yourselves a target so they can kill you. They lost Islam; the Muslims are ignorant, not learning Shari`atullah. Everything they do is against Holy Shari`ah and yet they say, “Irhaal, irhaal yaa Bashar!” He is not going away until something comes on him from the Heavens. When Allah Almighty orders, the tyrants will be sent away, but not until the people say, “Tawbah, yaa Allah!” No one blamed ababeel, the small birds that bombarded and killed Abraha. Keep your adab and your imaan though Shari`atullah, and Shari`ah will protect you! If not, you will be punished here and Hereafter.
……
That is a warning to all Mankind, and to me also. Tawbah yaa Rabbee, tawbah yaa Rabbee, tawbah yaa Rabbee! Shukran yaa Rabbee, shukran yaa Rabbee, shukran yaa Rabbee!

Current Precautions when Visiting Sultan al-Awliya
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani
13 September 2011 Lefke, Cyprus
…in that month, during the time of Hajj, the season of hujaaj, pilgrims, they (visitors) may stay here, and at the beginning of Dhu ’l-Q`adah every one must go to their homes because there may be trouble in our Mediterranean area, and then it will be difficult for them and for our people here or for governments. Then there may be no planes or ships coming and going and it may be difficult for them (to return home) and for our people here (to host them).

Our Political Vision:
By Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi:
We should remember that the worst tyrants of the Arab World in our modern history did not rule in the name of Islam but in the name of secularism and democracy. There first victims were not the seculars but Muslims who were suppressed and Islamic movements which were banned. Why then “Islamists” are feared and prevented from reaching power. It was not “Islamists” who supported these oppressive regimes; rather the seculars, while the “democtaric world is helping these regimes stop the Islamic tide and applauding to them: France supported Ben Ali’ in Tunisia; USA supported Mubarak in Egypt; and the EU supported the Assad’s regime. It high time we proved that Islam is more tolerant towards its opponents than the fake democracies of the West which protect the secular and eliminate the religious under the claims of fighting extremism. All we are doing is replacing one alleged extremism by another already proven extremist. It is time for Islam to present its vision and solutions to the political, social and economic and crises in the Islamic World. For anyone who is trying to predict the future of the Middle East, I say, wait to see the Islamic choice being embraced by our people as the only guarantee to a better future. To all of that we see the start coming from Syria.

Ghufran,
Haytham biggest mistake is that his writings in the last couple days of publicly supporting violence, calling for more armed gangs attacks and for shamelessly supporting genocide by calling for bombing innocent Syrians are actually putting him in the danger of being prosecuted under the Canadian law, for supporting violence and for calling of killing others out of political disagreements.
Dear Haytham,
A super friendly advice from someone who actually care, watch carefully of what you write, even if you write it in Arabic, especially under your full name, in Canada we have a very clear line between the freedom of supporting any political party we want and supporting ‘violence’ solutions, ‘criminal’ activities against others and advocating genocide, be very clear and smart of what you write.

Condolences to the Grand Mufti of Syria ????? ?????? ???? ????? ?. ???? ????
Shaykh Muhamad Al-Yaqoubi offers his sincerest condolences to the Grand Mufti of Syria Dr. Ahmad Hassoun upon the loss of his young brilliant son, Sariyah Hassoun, who was assassinated today. Sh. Al-Yaqoubi considers the Syrian regime fully responsible for the loss of all innocent lives including this one. The regime which killed Hamza Khateeb and Zaynab Husni and accused protesters of killing them, is capable of killing more and making more accusations.
Sh. Al-Yaqoubi, after offering his condolences and sympathy to the Mufti for this tragic loss, would like to repeat his call to him to resign and join the Syrian people in their uprising, to speak up the truth as he tried when the demonstrations started. We know that his eminence started re-thinking his position to take people’s side; this tragedy should not turn him back. May Allah send his Mercy on the young Sariah and all our martyrs.

The most plausible story behind Zaynab is that she was indeed kidnapped by the shabeehas, not to force her brother to surrender but rather to stage a sinister plot against the support of the international media and the HRW of the revolution in order to portray them as biased and perhaps part of the conspiracy against Bashar She was kept alive and was not tortured. The family was led to believe by the hospital officials that the body of an unidentified defaced and mutilated girl was Zaynab. The goal was to get the story out. After all the regime reputation has already been trashed by multiple similar examples, a set up like that might be the only way to cast a doubt in regard to it’s brutality. The news media across the globe did what is expected from a sensational case like that and reports and dwells on the brutality of the Syrian regime. All of the sudden, on Tuesday, Oct 4th, the day when the UNSC is supposed to meet in regard to a resolution condemning the Syrian regime, Zaynab appears on the state TV alive and well, coerced under the threat of torture to say she ran away because her brothers were beating her. She declined providing info in regard to her whereabouts and states that the reason why she came clean is “her concern in regard to what to name to future children she may have when she gets married”.
The evidence:
1- the mother was told by nobody else other than the regime that the body is Zaynab’s
2-the timing of the interview is very suspicious
3-it is very odd for an 18 year old from Bab alsbaa in Homs not only to run away, but also to find a family that gives her safe haven and does not call her parents with her whereabouts for more than 2month especially in the current circumstances.
4-the reason provided on camera by Zaynab for her going to the authority on is very suspicious unless she is coerced under torture or threat of killing her parents to do so. Remember, her own brother was murdered by the regime yet she chose to contact the authority instead of her own mother and then asked her mother’s forgiveness. This does not makes sense. She is more likely to be forgiven by contacting the family directly rather than appearing on state TV.

NK,
My point was about promoting genocide for Syrians in general not the ‘regime’, nice try!
Can you go and kill only the ‘Syrian Regime’ without killing any innocent Syrian in your mission?
I’m glad to hear that you don’t care for justice or law, you prefer the short cut..just killing everybody who doesn’t agree with you.
What do you care, you don’t live there so for you it’s acceptable to let all the Syrians inside Syria to be subjected to all kind of violence and bombing as long as nothing happened to you…Very humane!

You’re putting words in my mouth, I merely pointed out your intimidation attempts towards Haytham are baseless, legally.
I never stated my opinion regarding military intervention in Syria, because I believe this is something that Syrians living in Syria must decide on their own, those of us living outside the country should stay out of it.
By the way the same concept applies to you.
What do you care, you don’t live there so for you it’s acceptable to let all the Syrians inside Syria to be subjected to all kind of violence, torture and humiliation by a murderous regime as long as nothing happened to you…Very humane!

Intimidation!? Defending Haytham! how funny! He can defend himself very well, he doesn’t need NK help, besides, I’m just using the law of the country he lives in to tell him that calling for violence is something illegal, what’s the intimidation in that? He needs to become politically mature, it helps him.
Give me the comment that I wrote here on anywhere else that supported the violence in any shape by anybody being of the regime, the radicals or the international community toward Syrians, if you can’t find any then please don’t use this cheap shot on me, use it on someone else.

You live in the west, no ? In Canada if I’m not mistaken, but regardless, you live outside Syria. Thus you should support whatever the Syrians living in Syria decide, even if they decide it’s in their best interest to seek help from the U.S to protect them from the Assad death squads. They are the ones being killed and tortured, it’s their choice.

Yes it could be a plastic figure I cant argue with that , I actually didn’t see the video , I stopped watching videos after I saw the poor public sector employee was hanged and his body beating publicly ,it affect me so much seeing this kind of staff ! but I didn’t expect that some one could go that far fabricating specially that there are many vanished people from Homs , we hear every day of girls and men get kidnapped and later they found dead so if some one want to film a mutilated body they don’t have any lack of resources to do so .
I heard more than ten explanations from the revolutionaries point of view as how Zainab appeared to be alive , none of them admitted being so receptive to what ever being posted on youtube ,they do not care about any credibility unfortunately ,the international media trying to distance themselves from this story by not reporting the resurrection of Zainab or by pointing out that they copied the news from HWR .

Unfortunately, China and Russia don’t know what basic human rights are. The Resolutionbn should have spelled what these men in words of one syllable – the maybe – just maybe – the light might dawn on them that people don’t like being told what to do by the same family for decades on end and or being punished for complaining about government corruption.
