Jonah Hutton Firas Landis is born
Posted by Joshua on Thursday, March 27th, 2008
Manar, my wife, just gave birth to our second child, Jonah Hutton Firas Landis.
Jonah was born at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday March 27. He was 8 pounds and 10 ounces and 22 inches long. He came out quickly and without struggle. His brother Kendall Shaaban is delighted even though he wanted a sister named variously Pamela or Alexandra.
If you are wondering how we came up with Jonah, it is because my mother is named Joan Hutton. Jonah is also Yunis in Arabic and Ianis in Greek. Firas is the name of Manar's brother.

Congratulations To you and Manar, May they give you all the Joy you deserve.
Kendall will now have a playmate.
Now that you have announced this wonderful news, Sue and I are expecting our second child in November, we found out last week. There is nothing but joy that children bring to this sometimes dreary world.
Again congratulations.

Anything related to Syria is “ILA-AL-ABAD”. Why should the Landises make an exception?

Many thanks to all of you! It is indeed an SC family. After receiving a phone call from Dick Cheney, I have decided not to attend the Damascus summit, but I am sending my Arab League ambassador Yunis Firas Ardis!
Thank you, Ehsani, for the vote of confidence in al-Abad. Inshaalah.
HP Elie T. Thanks for coming back, even if for this small note. Habibi.
Jonah salutes you all. Warmest, Joshua

Wonderful name, wonderful news for your family. I am happy for you all. Hope you have lots of help and can get some sleep…
